The Illinois Health Care Cost Containment Council website contains the following report. Click on the report in which you are interested to go to the page from which the report can be downloaded. Effective July 1, 2002, the Illinois Health Care Cost Containment Council was abolished and replaced by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Hospital Care Buyer's Guides: 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995.

Each Guide shows the number of cases treated by each Illinois hospital for each of the main conditions for which patients were hospitalized. The conditions are based on categories called Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs). When using the reports keep in mind that these categories may include patients who do not always have the same medical histories.

Hospital Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery death rates 1998, 1994.

Guides to Deliveries in Illinois Hospitals: 2000, 1999,1997-1998. Buyer's Guides to Hospital OB/GYN Care: 1995-1996.

The Guides show the number of deliveries at individual hospitals by type of delivery.

Illinois Pneumonia Hospitalizations: 1998.

Shows the number of pneumonia cases treated by each hospital.
